What is MyGuide?
MyGuide is an iOS app that generates personalized AI audio tours for any location. You pick a place, choose how long you'd like to walk, set a tone, and tell us what fascinates you. The app writes the script, narrates it, and plays it back like a podcast with a synced transcript. Tours can be downloaded for offline listening.
How do I sign in?
You can sign in with Apple, Google, or email. Sign in with Apple is the recommended option on iOS. Your session is stored locally on your device — sign out at any time from the app.
Why does the app ask for my location?
Location is used only to find places near you and to use your current position as a tour starting point. It is optional. The app works fully without it. You can grant or revoke location permission in iOS Settings → Privacy → Location Services → MyGuide.
How accurate are the tours?
Tours are generated by AI and may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or invented details. They are intended for entertainment and curiosity, not as authoritative information. If you spot something wrong, please tell us — feedback helps us improve.
How do subscriptions and tour credits work?
MyGuide offers a free tier and paid plans with monthly billing through the Apple App Store. Some tours are paid for with consumable "tour credits." Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone, tap MyGuide, and choose Cancel Subscription. Cancellation stops auto-renewal; you keep access until the end of the current billing period.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds for App Store purchases are issued by Apple, not by us. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. If you have questions about your purchase or feel something went wrong, email help@myguide.cc and we'll do what we can to help.
How do I delete my account and data?
Email help@myguide.cc from the address associated with your account and ask for deletion. We will remove your account and associated personal data, subject to limited records we are required to retain for legal or accounting reasons. See our Privacy Policy for details.
A tour failed to generate. What should I do?
Try again — most failures are transient. If a tour you paid a credit for fails to deliver, the credit should be returned automatically; if it isn't, email us with the approximate time, place, and your account email and we'll restore it.
Can I use MyGuide while my phone is locked?
Yes. Tours play in the background, so you can lock your screen, use other apps, or put your phone in your pocket while you walk.
Does MyGuide use my microphone or camera?
No. Microphone and camera permissions are explicitly disabled in the app.
